I know it's a little late but Happy Valentine's day. I hope love has reached you and you gave some love back. I got some lovely handmade cards from my kids. And my love gave me some beautiful tulips. What more can a wife and mother wish for.
Three weeks ago I decided to do the Make Film Course of Xanthe Berkeley's. I made a stopmotion movie of Meadow's clothes. Ok, with an Iphone and that laying on a doll bed with another dollbed on it (yes really). The quality was bad, but I loved it so much. When doing the course I decided to buy a new videocamera. Hopefully to make little movies of me as a doll maker and to capture family moments. I would love to have the Canon 5D MIII. But he who doesn't. But I have a good camera and decided to go for the more affordable Canon G7X and a tripod.
My first try was at a birthday party at my nieces. She has such a cozy home and this was the perfect moment to figure out my new camera and the different angles.
I have to admit I changed the movie a little today. More shots in it and different music.
This course is so much fun and I recommend visiting Xanthe Berkeley's site and maybe attend a course too.

A mother's love is special,
a never-ending gift.
A love that's always there
if you ever need a lift.

"In the meadow of the valley,
Where wild flowers are roaming free.
There are multitudes of colors
And their backdrop forest greens."

The last days of the year are the days that my mind goes everywhere. Thinking of what I have done (the good and the bad).

I was asked if I could knit an animal. I love to knit and I thought this would be a lovely challenge. So my answer was YES I would love to knit an animal for you.
I came across the book Knit Your Own Zoo filled with patterns of gorgeous animals. So after looking at all the animals she choose the giraffe and the panda.
And there I went........knitting away.
The panda was a quick one and so much fun to knit. The giraffe was a little bit more work and more difficult to put together and to give her the right shape. But she is sooo cute and she can stand...
We are both so happy with them. Wouldn't it be fun to knit allllllll the animals?
(There are 24 animals in the book)
