Poppenliefde

Little Bree is now available in my Indiecart store http://indiecart.com/stores/Poppenliefde/

Come quick, Bree shouts. Quick, quick, quick! A spaceship landed in our house.

I ran upstairs and saw little Bree looking into a spaceship.

You see, you see I'm telling the truth. It's a real spaceship, but it's empty. oh no now there are aliens in the house.
Do you think I fit in there to take a closer look?

It fits, Bree shouted.
I knew it!

(we still haven't found the little aliens yet)

It's official! Yes I feel the summer and not just me!

Today is the day that the list is open for little Maisie at 2 PM New York time.
http://hyenacart.com/LoveforAlex/st/7934/53606/OOAK-9-cloth-doll-Maisie-by-Poppenliefde
All the proceeds are for Alex and her girls! Please take a look here http://hyenacart.com/stores/LoveforAlex/
Here you can find Alexandra's story and a lot more cuteness!

In the meantime I'm trying to keep little Maisie with me. She is desperately searching for the beach. A little swimsuit will join her. Not this one. Because I made the pattern and swimsuit in 15 minutes, because she was going to walk outside naked. Yep that's Maisie!

I haven't told her that this is the garden and that she can't find the beach here. There is a beach nearby, but I'm afraid that when I tell her she will be gone before I know it. And she has to cross some busy roads. No no no the garden is good.......for now.

She did some climbing and finally found a spot to lay down to listen to the beautiful songs of the birds. And getting energy from the warm sun.

Please consider bringing little Maisie home for this great cause!

Much love Maureen

English: I made this video a while ago, but I never shared it on my blog. This little doll has a wig of curly mohair. After a while the hair will look like a mess, but with a few simple steps it will look like new again.
Note: I made this little movie with my Iphone laying on a doll bed above it. So my apologies for the bad quality.

I'm so busy working to get these three girls ready to find a home this week. So there is no time for me to clean also. I asked the girls to help and they didn't immediately helped me. I got a lot of excuses.

The girls: "no we can't clean. What about our clothes? We need to stay clean and our hair has to stay   beautiful. It will all be a mess when we help you clean".

Me: "girls.......really? Lilja it's just soap you will even smell more lovely.
And Abby you don't even get wet. You just need to wipe the fabrics and all from the ground.
And Annikki, I have an apron somewhere. I know it doesn't fit your lovely white dress, but it will be protected. So no more excuses.

They really helped me. So it was about time to reward them with a drink and a piece of gingerbread. Yumyum!

I will have more info about the girls later this week. So stay tuned!

It has been to long since I wrote to you. But we had an emotional time. My father in law died on Boxing day. A few weeks before and the time after has been a roller coaster. At this moment we are working hard to get his home empty. Which is very difficult for my husband. He has no time to get through all his fathers personal stuff.

My dolls are a good medicine and get away. Everything is taking longer now, but I hope you all will understand.
I do cleaned and reorganized my sewing/workroom. I needed the rest around me. And it feels good to be there. I'm working on some girls when I have the time. I hope to have them available soon.

Little star Lykke
I'm still working on Abby (also an 18" doll)
I hope I can offer you these girls very soon.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Finally! Finally Albin is ready to find his forever home.
It's not always easy to find the right moment and place to photograph the girls and now boy.
But what could be a better place then Wester, my son's room.

I wanted to surprise Albin. Because maybe he will have this and more in his forever home too.
O and he was surprised. I took the box with cars and that was a very good decision.
He threw his jacket and hat on the floor and kicked his boots out.

Wow, says Albin
Does Wester have so many cars?

Albin took the box and pulled as hard as he could

I will put everything back. I promise, says Albin

To be honest, I'm not sure he will do that. Because we all know our boys say that to us moms and mostly it never happens. A well the thought is good, right?

This is soooooo soft, says Albin

After some hours playing it was time to put on his boots and coat again. Because this still is a photoshoot to show you all of Albin.

So come on Albin put on your boots and jacket. You can do it.

Albin is about 18" tall and is a REAL boy. He has a little bellybutton, a bum and little boy body parts.
He is made of Swiss jersey and filled with lovely soft sheep wool.
His wig is made of goats weft crocheted in a mohair cap.

He wears:

- a boxershort
- dungarees
- a t-shirt
- knitted socks of 100% wool yarn
- boots
- a linen jacket with a lovely nani iro lining
- a knitted hat of 100% wool yarn

And he brings along his crocheted minecraft wolf.

Albin is not suitable of children under the age of 6

With him you also receive a little repairkit in a little metal box and a certificate of authenticity.

Albin will be available in an auction on Friday, November 14.

From 7:00 pm till 10:00 pm New York time.

His starting bid will be € 350,-

I want you to meet Gisel, a Little Star.

Gisel asked me if it would be cold at her new home. I told her it will be warm and cozy inside and probably cold outside. But you have a warm scarf and your family will take good care of you.

Little nosy Gisel

Peekaboo!
