She is a custom doll. But Amy gave me the free hand. She told me she loves the colour peachy cream...or creamy peach. Well it was a challenge to find that colour of fabric. Although the stores are hanging full of clothes in creamy peach. Summer collection 2013. Unfortunately the fabric stores haven't received the summer fabrics yet. But I found this beautiful linen fabric and a wool/cashmere fabric. Perfect for her coat and hat. I also found some tule on Etsy and I used a beautiful dress of Liv. Ssstt.................please don't tell her. She will be really mad at me if she founds out. But I will show you some more pics of her.
Here she is. The 'new' Butterfly doll. Well new..........not exactly. I rather call it improved. As you can see she is wearing high boots now and a butterfly hat. Isn't that cute. And her wings are now attached to her vest instead of her dress. So you can easily turn her into a 'normal' doll whenever you want.
When you take off her butterfly hat her hair just bounces back in shape.
More detailed butterfly wings. I love them.
This little girl is already sold. She will go to a sweet customer who has been waiting patiently on the waitinglist.
First (I know it's a little late) I want to welcome you all in this new year. The year 2013.
I'm working hard right now on several dolls. I'm now working on three 18" dolls, two Butterfly dolls, one Blossom doll and I just finished three Little Stars (pics will follow soon). I can't show you pics right now.
But I couldn't resist myself to show you a little peek of a Butterfly doll
Finally I did it. I just had it with my crochet hooks. They were everywhere and I couldn't find the right one when I needed. So...................it was time to make my own crochet hook clutch. And again I was wondering why I haven't made one before. You can make one very quick and it's easy. I bought this fabric not so long ago. It's wool with on the other side a coating. I'm happy. Everytime I'm getting a little bit more organized.
