It took me a while to make sure Belle is ready for a home. I'm very slow when it comes to making a set of clothes.
When I open de curtains in the morning, just before the kids go to school, you can look outside. It's light again. I can hear the birds singing and I love these moments.
Belle's outfit is calling for Spring. The lightweight undergarments, the flowers on her dress. But she also has warm hand knitted socks and a hand knitted sweater for colder days. And oil cloth boots for hopefully not so many rainy days ;)
Cutting Belle's hair was a very exciting moment for me. It was the first time that I really cut a weft that short. And her hair has curls, so you never know how it will turn out. But I love it. She looks exactly how I wanted and especially how Belle wanted it to be.
I also made her some comfy pj's!
Belle is a 20" doll, made with Swiss jersey and stuffed with clean wool.
Belle's face and torso has been sculpted with needle-felting techniques and her eyes are embroidered.
Her hair is made with a weft of curly mohair in colour dark brown, crocheted into a mohair cap.
She also has a little bum and a bellybutton.
Belle will be available in my Etsy shop later today!
