Eleonora dreams a lot about a home with a lot of sunshine. Where it’s warm and not to cold.
I actually don’t know why. I think she is lucky to be born in the Netherlands. It’s the warmest winter ever and there is still no snow.
I told little Eleonora that’s it’s also a lot of fun in a land with lots of snow. Summer will show her little face there also.
But she insisted to give her a lot of clothes.
please I don’t just want a dress. Dresses should be worn in summer not in winter.
O Eleonora, please. I could make an underdress for you. So you will have two dresses. And you have boots and socks and I will knit a warm vest for you.
no that’s not warm enough
can you knit a scarf for me and maybe........ a knitted cardigan wrap.
I told Eleonora that that really would be too much. That I would see you all laugh. What will everybody think?
So what if they laugh?
And you can't see your beautiful beaded collar anymore!
What could I do? I can't send her away unhappy. So I knitted her a vest, a cardigan wrap and even a scarf.
Eleonora smiled!
Oh, said Eleonora. You made a earmuff a long time ago. Do you know where it is?
I have to look. Oh here it is. But it’s to small for you and the pink color is not the right
color.
I don’t mind. Please, please can I have it, can I have it?
Well the earmuff stayed on after some pulling and stretching (sorry for that)
(Please don't laugh, because I still think it's a little bit too much)
I want to wish everyone an amazing, wonderful and cozy Christmas and all the best for 2014! Thank you all so much for your support this year and I hope we will meet again in 2014!
Today we will find out who will be Brielle's mom. And I thought it would be a great idea to make a dollsize journal for Brielle (5x5 cm). With photo's, her birth weight, the fabrics I used and the things she loves.
Here she is. Brielle my first (little weighted) baby. She has a little round stone in her head and a bigger stone in her belly. So all natural. She is not very heavy. Just a little heavier than my normal dolls. She is also about 18" tall.
She has a brown mohair wig and brown eyes.
She has a little bum (my first) and a bellybutton. A suitcase filled with all kind of goodies. Like a wooden brush, a drool bib, a sleepingbag etc. And she has a mini Little Star to snuggle with.
First I want to thank everyone for wanting to give Sol a loving home.
She found a wonderful home and she will have a Poppenliefde sister. So you can imagine Sol is very excited!
The last few days I have worked on some pajamas and a friend for Bridie.
I knitted a friend for Bridie called Zaza the greyhound. Zaza's pattern is from the book "Knit and purl pets" from Claire Garland. And there are some other lovely animals in that book to knit.
But here they are Bridie in her pj's with her friend Zaza the greyhound.
Finally.........Bridie is up in my store! She will be available in an auction tonight. The auction will start tonight at 8:00 pm EST until sunday the 3rd 8:00 pm EST! Good luck and happy bidding!
I see it's already more than a month ago that I wrote to you all. I wish I could work more on my girls. I'm excited. I have idea's, new fabrics, a sewingmachine that is working better than before. Well..... I have to take it as it is........for now.
I want to show you two girls and a (not ready yet) baby.
I wanted to make a baby for a very long time. And finally it's time. She is a little weighted and she will have a little bum. O and the clothes. I'm so excited to make them. Some diapers, a dress, knitted socks (or boots), a sleepingbag. And she will also wear a baby bodysuit. Well she will have lots of babystuff. All things you need to take care of your baby.
I want you to meet
Bridie
Bridie has brown eyes and brown wefted goat hair.
Bridie is about 18" tall.
Here she is wearing a longsleeve t-shirt, a legging with ruffles, a two layered dress with tule ruffles and ofcourse warm boots. Fall and winter are wet and cold here in Holland. So boots are necessary!
But not only boots. Also a warm knitted hat and vest are very welcome.
Her handknitted vest and hat are made of Lana grossa Linea Pura ambiente.
And her crocheted boots are made of Lana grossa Linea Pura Organico print.
Her hat has a crocheted flower with little white beads.
Two bracelets for Bridie.
I want you to meet
Sol
Sol is a Butterfly doll with white wefted mohair hair and blue eyes.
Little Sol is about 13.4" tall.
I made her a crocheted and embroidered butterfly hat.
I'm so in love with this hat.
Do you see the grass and the flowers? And the flower button?
And here is Sol.
She is wearing a longsleeve t-shirt, a tule skirt, trousers with lace edging, a linen dress, crocheted boots and
a little treasure bag.
Both Bridie and Sol will be available in an auction this week!
After a long break of 6 weeks it was time to get back to my dolls. The result are two girls named Flore and Mare. I really enjoyed making these girls They will be available in an auction (http://hyenacart.com/stores/Poppenliefde/) that starts 21-9-2013 and will end on 24-9-2013.
