Thoughts

The last days of the year are the days that my mind goes everywhere. Thinking of what I have done (the good and the bad).

I had some ups and downs in life but definitely in dollmaking. It was a rollercoaster and still is and will probably be for a longer time. I have grown so much. My dolls faces have changed. It took a while for me to find the right adjustments. I’m happy now. Only a little mouth, some chunkier cheeks and a little chin. I always gave my girls round eyes. But the eyes are the soul. It’s fun to play with different eye shapes. To see the girls change, become their own me.

Dollmaking is a real journey. Most of it fun, but sometimes also very frustrating.

Next year will bring me………a new sewing machine. Finally a “real” sewing machine. I can’t wait to learn new sewing techniques, to make better and more beautiful doll clothes.
Giving my first workshop at the "European Waldorf Doll Seminar 2016” in April. I can’t wait to meet fellow dollmakers, crafters and doll lovers.

Enjoy the last days of 2015!
